Here in Canada, the maple leaf symbol is every where.
This particular maple leaf is from a King Crimson Maple. It's planted near our back door and while the leaves are an amazing reddish colour now (colour not altered in photo), by the end of the summer they will be green because the tree doesn't receive enough light to sustain the red colour tone.
Many thanks for dropping by and of course, thanks for your comments ... very much appreciated!
Anne, when I saw your red maple leaf I thought its upside down, stunned thought eh, is it still on the tree and Why did we turn the maple leaf around on our canadian flag? or was this one in a window, i can't tell. Vibrant color of deep red and so clear.
@missvicki Funny you should say that Vicki. I was thinking the same thing when I took the pick ... looking all over the tree for one that would be "upright" --- not a one! The fact that we've had rain for days doesn't help either. Thanks for your kind comments .... and everyone else too, thanks for dropping by.
I appreciate all the comments! Thanks! This is not the pic I had intended to post, rather it's one that had a stick across the back and I was practicing with photoshop to remove it. Oh well, live and learn ... I'll pay more attention next time! At least the leaf is in tact! lol
