This bug was high tailing it off this daylily bloom as I came along with my camera. It was an unusual shade of green - no colour tweaks here. I"m guessing it's in the grasshopper family but I have a lot to learn about insects so it could be just about anything!

ps. LONG antennae - the one on the right goes all the way down past the stigma to the petal.
@newbie I looked that one up this morning stacey, as that was my first thought. I have a cool pic of one on a daylily from last summer. I didn't think it matched but it could very well be ... the legs are certainly similar.
He's a cool little guy .... beautiful colors and pov!! Never thought that insects and flowers were all that interesting UNTIL I got a camera. Wow .. look at all the things that I passed right by. Thanks for the great capture, Anne. People like you have taught me how to stop and smell the roses. :)
