This miniature train is one of the attractions at Upper Canada Village. Everyone was loading up for a ride and our 4 year old granddaughter slipped into the driver's seat for a photo op.
The train is a scaled replica of an 1860s locomotive. It's named ‘The Moccasin’ in honour of the real Moccasin, Canada’s longest running named train, with operations from November 19, 1855 to August 9, 1958 on the Grand Trunk Railway between Brockville and Montreal.
@cimes1 thanks carole! oh yes, we all got a ride - just the short 17 minute version. there's 45 min run too but we thought that would be a bit too long with the little ones.
Love your pov and the capture of your granddaughter! Great lighting, Anne. What fun these are ... a great place for children to learn, I think. I still love taking the Amtrak!
