Wandering Loon

I think this is a young common loon. I'm used to seeing their breeding colours so I had to look this one up. We've seen a similar bird a bit up river from where we saw this one. I'm not sure if it would be the same bird or not as there are 3 locks and a small town in between the two siting points!
