The Neighbourhood

Another little outing with the dog, this time just along the road where we live. The clouds stayed away and it was a beautiful day! We don't have a lot of snow so far this winter. Most of the fence is still showing above the snow, but we still have about 6 weeks for Mother Nature to potentially change that! :)

@lesip Thanks Leslie! Good question! There are crops in this field in the summer so I think the fence is more to keep things out, like snowmobiles! The farmer snowmobiles around with her sons but only in specific spots. If others saw their trails, they may be tempted to check them out. Compacted snow from snowmobiles doesn't mix well with crops.

@dora thanks Dora! Yes, I'm participating in the bird count. I got busy counting birds and forgot to post a pic in 365 this morning! :) I'm about an hour west of Ottawa.
