Thought I'd share a pic that I came across last night while doing some sorting for the grandkids' albums for last year. These are Evening Grosbeaks in January of 2011, filling three sides of the deck, with some waiting in the wings. There were more than 100 at a time eating us out of house and home. The numbers were way down this year, maxing out at about 25 or so.
Awsome capture. Sort of like Al's Breakfast in Dinkytown of the Univ. of MN in Mpls-one row of stools as everyone watches and smells the cook working in front of them, including another row of folks standing behind those on stools, waiting their turn.
LOL... you said wating in the WINGS! That's awesome! You must be serving up some mighty fine grub! I get numbers like this at my bird feeder, but its those messy house wrens that aren't even pretty
Love all the birds... wea are trying to get birds to come to our home, we Built a home in a virgin wheat field where there were no trees at all and now we have gotten several trees plants and shrubs started, I put out 5 feeders, but no luck yet.
OMG! I thought you'd cloned some in using photoshop or piknik and then were using it for an April Fool's JOke..hey...wait! Maybe you Are using for an April Fool's joke! Is this real?
@espyetta haha, that's quite a compliment to ask that if you knew my ps skills ... lol. it's real ... a daily routine all of last winter. 9-10 lbs of sunflower seeds a day most days. it ended up being quite expensive so we were just as glad to see the smaller numbers this year.
