This is a Red-tailed Hawk that flew into my neighbors tree while I was outside. He was SO patient and stayed put forever, but I couldn't quite seem to get my settings right. It was very overcast, bright. Anyway, here he is. He was magnificent in person - so big! If you have time, please view large.
Thanks for taking a look!
Thankful Day 30:
I'm thankful that I made a whole month without a filler!! I'm also thankful that my husband and youngest son made it safely to Cumberland Island where they are camping for the weekend.
Tara... this is beautiful. I love how the wind is ruffling his feathers!!!!!! and I am so jealous. I want to go to cumberland Island. I hope they have fun.
Yay! This is great! I love the orange leaves in the back too..helps with the bright sky...it is hard to shoot on bright sky! Aren't huge hawks just amazing to behold in person? I think so!
@cheribug Thanks Cheryl! I liked the feathers too, I just wish the focus was clear. They had a great time at Cumberland Island. If you go, go in the late fall. The temperature is in the 50's. The first time we went was July - HOT!!
Thank you all so much for taking the time to look and comment. I so appreciate all of your encouragement!
