This duck was very spooked by something on the other side of the lake. I usually don't see 2 male Mallard's so I'm wondering if this could be a father / son? I don't know much about these ducks except that they have very pretty feathers on their heads.
I'm sad that I haven't been able to post much lately but last week, the Rehab center said that my Dad had about 2 more weeks there, so I needed to find a place for him to live - yikes! So, I've been looking at Assisted Living Homes in the area and I think that we've settled on one today - great news! Crazy news is that I have to fill out all of the paperwork, get it to them tomorrow and then finalize the contract on Wednesday. THEN move my Dad's stuff in over the weekend. So, you may be asking "What the heck are you doing on 365?"
Good question!
Thanks as always for stopping by and your many encouraging words and favs. They make my day!
Oh wow. You are so busy with your dad. It is so much, but I know you will get him in there, settled, and then you can breathe a bit...relax. You are a good daughter, taking good care of him. I love your ducks shot. This lens rocks at any shot, which I had not really realized. I need to start using it for things besides macro....it really does an amazing job separating out the subject in the foreground from the back....love love love it
@tara11 I noticed it having that effect....that the foreground is so sharp and back is soft..I see that in shots on here, and have learned that they are with a 100mm. So I checked your exif.
