Working the cattle by teodw

Working the cattle

We stayed at Hale River Homestead, about 120 k's from Alice, on the Eastern McDonnell Ranges for 2 nights. What a fabulous place! They let me fly my drone to get pictures of them ear tagging the calves. I was so surprised at the lovely symmetrical shapes of their stock yards. Not a blade of grass around the yards and probably not a whole lot of feed on their station. The guys caught the calves using a horse and lasoo! Amazing to watch. Great place to spend some time in a genuine working station environment.
This is gorgeous. Are you aware of this competition? https://eldersrural.com.au/about-us/calendar-competition/

I think this would be perfect as an entry in it.

Just realised entries finish tomorrow!

@kgolab, I had seen the ad for it pop up on my facebook and had a look at terms and conditions, then promptly forgot all about it until I read your comment. I have entered two images in. Fingers crossed.
