@kali66@aikiuser luckily this wasn't my main 4k monitor..... Given that would you:
1. Go without a side monitor
2. Replace it for 400ish
3. Get a benq 1440p replacement for it for 550ish
I am kind of leaning towards leave it be and see if I miss it but am torn
if its just a side monitor i would still use it lol... keep the windows small enough to fit on the left hand side... i hate it when this stuff becomes e-waste!
Here's the monitor I've been coveting for a bit. Not cheap, but not on the high end, either: BenQ SW2700PT 27 Inch QHD 1440P IPS
Sounds like the one you're looking at, too?! Can't go wrong with that one from all I've heard.
@kali66 I am tempted to do that, but I am afraid I am too old for it. It feels really bad coming from someone who also hates to e-waste and has never broke a screen in Thier life. My last desktop lasted 10 years then was given away, my last laptop lasted 8 and used a broken one bought off eBay for spare parts as replacement Evey time something worn out. I already called dell to get it fixed and they said no, buy a new one. Ebay is full of these with ruined displays..... Seems like its not as durable as many would like.
@aikiuser So I ended up getting one, and there is an immediate and noticeable difference. I did not expect it to be that much better than my Dell 2718Q, but it really is. All the colors I have been missing, even with sRGB, not Adobe RGB.
