This is "The Big H" - the gateway to Hopewell, Virginia. Hopewell, formerly known as City Point, welcomes people to the city as they cross the Appomattox River with this 65 foot tall structure, erected in 2018.
Hopewell is about 10 square miles and has about 22,000 residents. It is the oldest continuously inhabited English settlement in the US, and General Ulysses S. Grant had his headquarters here during the siege of Petersburg in the Civil War.
