The City of Virginia Beach is a very large city (497 sq. miles / 1,288 sq. km), the product of a 1960s merger between the small city of Virginia Beach and the neighboring suburban/rural Princess Anne County. It is also a wondrously varied city. The tourist/resort section is in the north, but south of a particular road (known as the Green Line), the zoning is maintained as agricultural. We live a mile or so north of the Green Line, so we have easy access to everything urban and everything rural.
What is grown south of the Green Line is an amazing array of produce, including corn, soybeans, sunflowers, apples, grapes, peaches, watermelon, cantaloupe...the list goes on. What I pictured here is a farm where they grow horses!
