The main entrance to Pocahontas State Park is exactly 6 miles from my driveway. I went there to explore a bit and the light conditions were fantastic.
This is a view of Swift Creek which runs through the park. It was dammed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s to create a large lake that is one of the attractions of the park (along with biking, hiking and riding paths).
