On the way to my cabin (located on the North Shore of Lake Superior, Minnesota) crossing the St Louis River at Fond du Lac (Near Duluth)
Minnesota, I Happened to look to my left, up river,
and noticed a lot of white birds. I kept driving but somthing nagged at my curiosity bone so I turned around and went back. I have never seen White Pelicans before. My bird book says: "they are locally common in breeding colonies of several hundred pairs on the West coast and on lakes."... "Flat, rounded plate on the bill is seen in the breeding season only."
