Around Medicine Lake, the city of Plymouth, has done a shoreline habitat restoration project. Establishing a "buffer zone" between the lake and land using native plants. It is hoped this will help to control shoreline erosion, protect and improve water quality, and provide food, shelter and nesting sites for various animals. It has added a brilliant splash of color and beauty to be enjoyed by all.
