New Year's Day Medicine Lake

Ice fishing on the lake. Most of the houses were
portable; soon larger and semi-permanent houses will begin to appear. One just has to get out of the house sometimes in the winter, to preserve relationships and sanity.

I'm not sure the lakes are even frozen yet here. So the ice fisherman have to fish from shore. LOL

Oh, heavens, this is very interesting. Semi-permanent fishing houses on the frozen lake? An extremely intriguing idea... my husband claims to already know of these things, but no opportunities currently exist in St. Louis. ;) Lovely pops of color amidst the ice of winter.
