High Falls Pigeon River by tosee

High Falls Pigeon River

The Pigeon River forms part of the border between the U.S. (Minnesota) and Canada.
The High Falls is 120 feet high and forms part of the Grand Portage route (9 miles) around the rapids and falls between Lake Superior and
the interior of the Americas. The portage was established by Native Americans and became a major part of the fur trade in the 17th century used by the voyageurs, first by the French, later by the English.
Beautiful sweeping view. Love looking down on this, and the red rock, ice, and water. Fav
