A Canadian boat out of Port Dover at the Two Harbors Loading trestles. One of the smaller large transport boats on the Lake. If you look carefully you will see a man with a yellow hard hat above the boats name on the side.Shot with my new Tamron 150-600mm lens from across the harbor.
I have been told that on the Great Lakes you call these large vessels boats not ships
Your new lens is working just fine. What a humongous boat. My FIL used to say though, "how big does a boat have to get before you call it a ship?" I guess he wouldn't have expected this answer!
What do these boats transport on the lakes Tom? Hope you have fun with your new toy... I've been pleased with mine so far although I haven't had many opportunities to use it at full stretch.
@vignouse From the Minnesota ports they transport taconite pellets, that is what is being loaded, and grains. Taconite is a concentrate of low grade iron ore into pellets.
