Portable Shelter

The man in the photo is setting up a portable shelter for ice fishing. He used the sled to pull the portable ice fishing shelter, buckets, bait, tackle and heater out onto the ice. After he got the shelter set up and the propane heater inside he
proceeded to use the shovel to pile snow around the base to help against the wind and cold. My camera while aging was the Olympus E-M1

I don't 'get' regular fishing so I'm never likely to 'get' ice fishing. I can think of a lot of things I'd rather do with my time ... but I do admire people who brave the cold to do what they love! Good for them.

Great capture. I understand the attraction of fishing but I can't get my head around a heater on ice!!!! Surely it will melt the ice?

as a non-fisherman I am always amazed at the amount of equipment and trouble these guys go through to try to catch a fish..I just don't get it...nice shot by the way.
