Sea Smoke at Split Rock Lighthouse by tosee

Sea Smoke at Split Rock Lighthouse

We awoke in a very cold cabin. It was 15 below
with a fierce NW wind blowing around 15 to 25 mph.creating a wind chill that bore right to one's meager or large core. Our little heaters could only maintain around 45 degrees. Crack a loud gunshot ?! No just the wooden deck protesting in the cold to my footfall. The trees groaning and creaking in the wind and the cold. Lake Superior
was not frozen so it's warmer water meeting the cold wind driven artic vortex created a morning of stark sea smoke beauty.
OK, I do know why I like this one. There's something that seems very Andrew Wyeth about this -- especially the colors and foreground.
