These male and female hooded mergansers taking
off reminded me of the Road Runner Cartoons where Wylie Coyote is trying to catch the Road Runner often using various Rube Goldberg type machines purchased from the Acme Supply Company..Poor Wylie, for some reason I seem to identify with him! Sorry have been so far behind had various issues that sprang up!
Great action shot. Loved the cartoon as well I was always willing him on to catch the road runner but there would always be something like a crumbling cliff and the a falling anvil for good measure!
