Courthouse weathervane

This weathervane was crafted for the first Monroe County (Bloomington, IN) courthouse in 1826 and moved to rebuilt courthouse in 1907. No one agrees on reason for a fish in Indiana other than it's a good shape for a vane.

I love the detail on the dome and The clarity of the fish. It is an unusual subject for a weathervane, however.
