I can't believe this. Mopsy has taken to digging herself a sweet potato each day. She sees us digging a potato each afternoon for dinner and about a week ago discover that she could scratch one out for herself.
She's not wasteful. She eats the whole potato. Here just the crumbs are left after she has all but finished consuming a large potato about 20 cm long and 25cm in diameter. One would think I didn't feed her well but does she look unhealthy? No. She just seems to know what is a good balanced diet.
We've had to cover a section of the plot to ensure we have potatoes for ourselves especially after a TV news item reported the price of sweet potatoes here in Queensland was rising as a result of the floods earlier in the year. She could be developing an expensive habit.
