- beautiful in the morning sunlight. Clover is grown as a fodder for cattle but some plants have escaped from the farm to form a roadside carpet which looks very pretty at the moment. It's in full bloom with these little pastle orbs thrusting their heads up above the dark green leaves which each have a light green contrasting band forming a heart shape at their centre. This lovely sight is the reward for laying out the irrigation pipes each night and morning.
