As the family is usually away every day at work the ducks have to remain caged and in the red soil of this area they quickly become very dirty. While I'm here babysitting I let them out. I've given them a big dish of water which they have used to clean themselves up. Lots of preening and cleaning went on during the first day until all were shiny white again with their bright orange feet and beaks aglow.
