As a wonderful show of community support, at a celebratory afternoon tea, the Boyne Valley Branch of the Queensland Country Woman's Association made their 29th annual pen presentation to the grade seven graduates who will be moving on to High School next year. One of the father's who was here today to see his son graduate still has the pen he was given as he left for boarding school all those years ago.
These three beautiful kids enrolled in the first prep class at Ubobo State School. Being a small one teacher school, I had the priviledge of teaching them for almost seven years until my retirement 18months ago. Here they are highly amused because when they were first photographed with me they were all around my knees. Today they are towering over me and telling me I've shrunk! I am very proud of the lovely young people they have become each with their own dreams for the future. I pray their dreams will be fulfilled. Congratulations to you all!
