Today's trip to bowls took a nasty turn when I got a puncture but I was twice blessed. First the flat tyre was drawn to my attention by a "Stop and Go" sign operator controlling traffic around road works. He could hear the air escaping. "Pull over and I'll change it for you," he said. Later at the tyre service centre these two young fellows gave me the quickest, friendliest, most efficient service I've received anywhere in years. They were quite chuffed to have their photos taken.
