These are some of the "keepers" - animals we chose not to send to sale yesterday. They are tucking into the hay in their feeders. We will quitened them over the next few days then take them out and train them to be mustered and to come back into the yards before moving them to paddocks where they will grow out to become bullocks for the beef trade or replacement breeders. Unfortunately prices were not as good as we had hoped in the sale yards yesterday but that's the luck of the draw in the cattle industry.
