The Power of Water

During recent floods the creek tried to carve itself a new course. It has left a large hole where it began its endeavour and a river of sand where it thought it might have liked to travel had the rain kept falling.

Gosh... that was a lot of rain. It looks a beautiful area to live in.
We had floods in town a few years ago, the water managed to collapse something/bore out a hole in the road big enough for a car to fall nose-into!

Floods can change the countryside - sometimes for the better. I am sure the grandchildren will like the sand to play in.
