Bathroom Frog by ubobohobo

Bathroom Frog

This big old female green tree frog has made the bathroom her daytime retreat- one of the joys of country living. Each night we have to make room for her as she finds her way out onto the verandah to feast on any passing insects that come her way. I lock her out nightly but miraculously each morning she is back on the shelf hiding amongst the bottle collection. I am reminded of Queensland writer, Frank Moffat and his great children's book, "Farmer Bean and the Pantry Frog" published around 1985 enjoyed with many students during my years in the classroom. From experience, trying to rid yourself of a live-in frog is an impossibility you may as well simply learn to live with them.
Wonderful shot. I remember well friends in Toowoomba who had one living in their outdoor toilet...for ever it seems.

She almost looks like a porcelain one. Great shot. Is she noisy?. We used to have them in the drain pipes in one place we lived. And they were noisy!!

this is just way too cool - lived in Hawaii for several years and we had geckos that used to sneak in the house and did not realize how much I missed that until I saw this pic - FAV and thanks for bringing such a cool memory back in my head tonight :)

Great story and a great shot Margaret. We don't get green frogs anymore so we substituted a very lifelike model of one that lives on the toilet window sill
