Thats excellent to get the two of them! Often they are so high its not easy for a photograph - not that we have them here but in Aussie, visiting, I have tried to take a photo!

@jan11 They're laughing outside as I type. I wish they would drown out those sooky poults. Mum lays around midday and you should hear the commotion while she's on the nest and they can't find her. Think I might have to have an Independence Day celebration of my own!

They remind me of some of our woodpeckers without the red caps. Good shot. We used to sing a song in Girl Scouts about them and I see from the comments above they really do laugh. How about that. I used to think it was just a made up song! The things you learn on 365!
