First Frost

A white frost enveloped the farm this morning - first good one of the season. The leaves of this pumpkin vine that sparkled in the morning sun are a very sorry sight this afternoon. Its dominance over the backyard has come to a sudden halt. I see plenty of warming pumpkin soup ahead.
