This is the sight that evokes the memory of being allowed to accompany my Mum riding our horses to muster the cows for morning milking - by hand! I can hear and sense the crunch of the frost under hoof and see the glint of lights as the early sun lit up the paddocks. I was fully 6 yrs old! Then it was off tho school on the horse!
@ethelperry When I'm out and about in the frost (by choice to capture a photo) I often think of poor old Mum having to do this everyday and shaping up to a yard of cows to be milked with frozen hands day in day out. They certainly did it tough these unsung heroes of the bush.
