Every day a pair of hawks float over the barnyard and every bird in the vicinity, domestic and wild takes evasive action. The galahs look spectacular and I was determined that today I'd catch them in flight but no luck. So when I spotted a galah feather floating on the cattle trough I thought to myself, "This will have to do." I can assure you it doesn't look anywhere near as spectacular as a flock of galahs in flight. Enjoy.
This lone feather certainly tells the story. I hope one wasn't caught by the hawks. Keep trying for the flock in flight, Margaret. I can't imagine how wonderful that must be.
