I'm with Jane @cejaanderson on this, Margaret. The series reminded me how much Australia is like our western United States. This shot is riveting. It looks like your road goes right over a dam or a flooded bridge. Something Tom would love to drive across, but I'd be shivering in my shoes.

@mbemis There are seven of these culverts across the creek that we crisscross as we drive down out of the mountains into the valley which you can see appearing in the centre of the picture. This is the widest one and quite safe at this height but certainly not if the river is in flood. The water is supposed to be running through pipes under the road but it is still too high. That's why we all drive high wheel based 4WD cars.
