Earlier this year I made myself a beautiful pebble border around a new concrete extension to our garage. I imbedded within the border my father's rock collection. They'd been gathering dust on a bench and I seldom looked at them but now I look at them everytime I step outside and think about the stories associated with the collection. As a young man Dad worked in survey camps and travelled all over Queensland on horse back. The stones were "interesting" and collected as a reminder of a particular area where he had worked.
Great thing to do with those precious stones. My son collected stones but having left all his stuff with us, no-one can find them - he is very annoyed!
