Microbat

As we soaked up the warm early morning sun over a cuppa I noticed the tell tale signs of a bat in residence...a little pile of droppings on the verandah floor. Closer investigation found this a tiny little bent-wing tucked into the corner of the rafters. You can judge his size (about 6cm/2ins) by the splinter of wood from a nail hole. It is pointing directly to his little stubby nose.
Great spotting and shot.

A very interesting find! No doubt the tell tale droppings led to finding the bat. I wonder if there are any more!

@jan11 It's still in residence. I do think there is only one but it is very dark up in his little corner and very hard to tell.
