What an exciting challenge word. It has really sent me on a voyage of exploration - what is the colour of forgiveness, verses for forgiveness, symbols of forgiveness, each leading me to the decision to photograph my grandfather's bible with its sprig of heather which he brought with him from Scotland. What a wonderful surprise I got when I did an internet search trying to find information about the date of his arrival in Australia and subsequently the age of the heather sprig. A lifetime of wonderings was answered in two clicks of the mouse. I always knew grandad came to Australia as a preacher and of his association with William Irvine but nothing more and there it was at this site http://www.tellingthetruth.info/home . As a follower of William Irvine, Sandy Hinds had come as a brother of "the church with no name" in 1903. Isn't the internet amazing? Now to unravel the mystery of his association with this group.
Stunning narrative to go with this piece of history in picture. When I was in Sicily 2/3 years ago I was going through a book of deaths in a small village and read two persons with the same surname as me - Giorgio. Since this is the Italian name for George I found it very unusual for an Italian surname. I wish I had delft deeper - they could be relatives of mine.
I am not doing the word a day, but I did read them, and I remember thinking that forgiveness would be a challenging one. You've done a great job depicting it, and the history is fascinating too!
A wonderful picture & illustration for the word & that descision led you to so much knowledge......you must be thrilled! Will be interesting to see how much you learn!
