Just love that name...pobblebonk. It is a burrowing frog that has been enticed out by the recent rain. He is only seen at night but his "Bonk, bonk, bonk," gave him away and I found him hiding in a back corner of the garden.
I love this. When I was young, the frogs used to come out in the hundreds on a rainy evening. I always wondered where they were and how they lived when it wasn't raining, which was most of the time.
