The farmyard continues to bring me delight. These two are best of friends and live in the garden. However Hairdo, the little hen, hid herself away behind the hay in the barn and emerged one morning with a batch of 14 chicks. I'd only found her two days before when I came to the bottom of a stack of hay I'd been feeding to the cattle. She was sitting on 34 eggs. Thank goodness only 14 hatched.
@dreams I think she stole the farmyard's egg supply. She had them stacked up in a little mountain as she tried to spread herself across the mass of them. Good luck with your 6. Thanks for the follow.
