The answer was soon supplied by the turkeys. The whole flock was occupied in a feasting frenzy and grasshoppers were on the menu. That was until they almost became breakfast for a wedge tailed eagle. Fortunately they made it to cover in a flash and the eagle was left wanting until next time.
@terryliv Tried...but by the time I grabbed the camera, found him in the tree and focussed he'd decided, "I'm out of here." and floated off. A beautiful bird but a deadly killer usually. He keeps the turkey's on their toes and the other birds early warning calls usuall have them hit cover almost instantly.
