It's mustering day. The cows have been sprayed to kill cattle tick and to ward off annoying buffalo fly. They are now relaxing but it is the calm before the storm. Their calves have been taken away for the unpleasant but necessary process of branding and inoculation against disease. However the scene is about to erupt into a boiling melee of bellowing panic as cows and calves rush to reunite, feed and escape back to the peace of their paddock.
@olivetreeann you are so right Ann, very chaotic, until all are paired up and then all quietens down again as the calves suckle and mothers check what damage we've done to their little darlings. I am always deeply moved by the mother's love of her calf and strong bond they share..
