Sale Day is always filled with mixed emotions - pride in the product but wretchedness at having them go. Our operation is small enough that I know each animal personally and some more than others. This is a particular favourite.
March Madness friends, there are no lambs or sheep in my part of the world just cattle. So my word for today is "cattle"
I know EXACTLY how you feel. My goats all leave tomorrow and I am barely able to keep myself from crying. The flood will come after they are gone. When you have a connection with an animal, it is hard to lose them either by sale or by illness. Lets hope you get a photo every now and again.
