...the title of a poem I learnt as a child at school.
It is amazing how quickly nature responds to rain. 6 days ago this was a wizened garden bed at the Discovery Centre. Now the weeds have sprung to life and trees are in bloom. Looks much more inviting for our guests on a hot summer's day. To help them cool off over Christmas I allowed them to play under the sprinkler. It was a win/win situation. It greened the grass for us and kept the children happy. Now the whole place is green.
A very inviting scene indeed! It looks so warm and summery - makes me forget the snow outside my door!
That's the beauty of 365 - we get to see so many places!
@farmreporter I too enjoy seeing it snowing somewhere else while I swelter. 365 is a great group for they way it brings our worlds together in such a pleasant way.
@maggiemae Yes the plaque is for a community member who passed away. Behind the rock we have planted a rose which has survived for over100 years on the abandoned goldfields of the 1890s which brought his family to the Boyne Valley.
