Every campout needs a good bon fire and this one the young people created was a beauty. Of course we then had to enjoy toasted marshmallows and doughboys drenched in maple syrup. Sunfest done and dusted for 2018.
@maggiemae sunfest is a combination of summer sun and festival. Over two weeks a very broad range of craft, arts, dance, music, drama, outdoor,circus, cooking activities and more are offered to 11-17 year olds to get them out and occupied during our summer holidays. It is organised by the local council, utilises the talents, skills and interests of local groups and individuals who are willing to offer an event/activity or share a skill. About 30 different activities were offered this year. Some are a few hours, some a dsy other can extend over a week. It concludes with a public sharing of what was achieved over the period of the fest.
