The Salvation Army has been visiting the Valley regularly to offer community support during the ongoing drought. This month they drew on the EBITS and CQU
nursing students to help with our technology issues and to administer basic health checks for diabetes and blood pressure. A service that is much appreciated.
EBITS is an Education Queensland and Industry partnership for secondary school students. The program conducted on site at Boyne Smelters Ltd Equips students with pathways into Business, Industry, Tourism or tertiary programs on finishing their secondary schooling. During the course they earn Certs II and III in business tourism and volunteering.
