cityscape

Turning southward from my "icescape" pic brings a part of Chicago's skyscrapers into view. This was my "get pushed" challenge for the week, a cityscape. I decided black and white evoked more of the feeling of the starkness of the cold, cloudy early evening.

@stepheesue So, I live near Chicago and left for the lakeshore after school before heading home. Here's what I came up with for your "get pushed" challenge to me. I think some improvements could be made!

Michael, I've visited Chicago often, and always try to find some way to get to the lakeshore to get a nice view. For me, there's a lot of anticipation in this shot. Thank you!

I agree that it looks best viewed large against the black background and applaud your efforts to "stretch"! I like it and particularly like the b+w component. bravo! (still working on mine. . .)

@steampowered @carolb @stepheesue @rachelwithey I really appreciate your warm responses to my "get stretched" photo. I don't do cityscapes, but now am considering some more interesting ways to capture marvels of man.
