Walked out of work today and actually had my camera to capture an unexpected shot. There was such an array of cloud shapes as the sun was setting. This is best viewed large to see some subtle coloring above the dark cloud that is hiding the sun.
This is GREAT! I say that as one who was looking at similar clouds in the city today and could NOT capture it. I feel like you captured the shot that got away!
@taffy you're too kind! It was an unexpectedly nice day - and I never used to bring my camera to work, but you're filament shot story inspired me to bring it with me to get that shot.
@carolb right Carol. Life is so busy, but with that camera in hand, it forces you to slow down and actually look at the world, not just pass through it.
WOW! How many times have I thought, "that's an amazing image." And moved on. Hurriedly, too often. But because you did such an amazing job capturing this, we can all enjoy it, too! What a confluence of clouds! How would the weather predictors ever make a statement based on these clouds???
