new beginnings

This was one of the first shots I took with my new D7100. I deliberated and researched and obsessed over what to get, and I think this was the push I needed. I'm having to learn about cameras again, as everything looks and feels different, but it's re-enlived my desire to dig deeper. No full frame just yet, but it opens the door to some potentially nicer lenses.

@taffy I've wanted a 105mm macro - the Nikkor is just too high so I'm going with a Tokina 100. It's gotten very nice reviews and is half the price...we'll see.

You should love it. Have you considered looking for the 105 used?

@vankrey PS -- but I've heard great things about Tokina. I think the company was started by engineers from Nikon.
