It was not a very nice day with a strong wind off Lake Michigan and rain showers, but this bride endured the inclement weather to get photos taken around the Milwaukee Art Museum. I happened to have my camera out just as it started to rain. The men in black behind her are rushing to protect their cameras and equipment and she's glaring at me as I took over the role of cameraman while she rushed indoors. I really don't do this kind of photography and I'm sure she'd be most displeased with this portrait, but I'm posting it because (as per previous discussions about this subject) deciding to have pictures in a very public place puts one in the position to be photographed. It is a lovely dress.
Best viewed large to catch the rain.
Also very interesting to note her red shoes! Her look of worry reflects the weather, but her perfectly made-up face and hair style show her preparation for the big day.
Super shot and wonderfully taken on the spur of the moment. Like @jyokota I too noticed her red shoes and immediately thought of the old phrase "red shoes, no knickers" (which goes to show how my mind works! :o))
Oh this is great. Red! Poor girl, though. I had rain in the a.m. and perfection in the p.m. for the ceremony/reception (which was outdoors). Ah, so glad that is so many years ago now!
